Was Nephew of the Reformist Mousavi Killed During Iranian Protests

Posted @ 5:38 PM on December 27, 2009 by Iran Reporters

Ali Mousavi Khamane, a nephew of the reformist opposition leader, Mir Hossein Mousavi, was killed after being shot through the heart in the city's Enghelab Square. This according to the Guardian News. The death of the 35-year-old will certainly add fuel to the opposition. Turning him into a martyr in its struggle against the regime will ivite even more violence.
These reports are unconfirmed by this website. We hope know one would ever die during a rally like this, but Iranian officials seem bent on having some deaths at ever rally or protest.
Opposition backers turned out in the largest numbers since June 2009 post-election protests, despite official warnings that the government would clamp down hard on dissent.
