Twitter has become a centralized meeting place for those concerned with the situation in Iran. In June of 2009 starting with the Iranian elections and the protests there after Twitter has played a huge roll in communications that tell the Iranian story.
When the people of Iran took to the streets to show there disillusion for the elections violence erupted. Troops and police moved in and beat and even killed protesters. Though many where arrested and killed one young woman bleed to death as the world watched on YouTube. The murder of this woman was so disheartening.
The Green Movment that started on twitter turn hundreds of thousands of users profiles green.
